⚠️ Bear Safety Reminder for Walden Residents ⚠️
We want to keep our community safe for both residents and local wildlife. Please remember to use caution and follow bear safety guidelines if you see a bear in the area:
🐻Stay calm and do not run
🐻Keep a safe distance from the bear.
🐻Group together and pick up small children.
🐻Bring children and pets indoors if a bear is nearby.
🐻Never approach or feed a bear.
🐻Secure garbage, pet food, and other attractants
On July 1, Tennessee’s new bear-feeding law goes into effect. It will be illegal to intentionally feed bears or to knowingly leave food sources (such as unsecured trash) accessible to them.
