YES for WMHS

YES for WMHS YES for WMHS, Building the Future In early 2023, registered voters of Wakefield will have the opportunity to authorize and fund the project.

In 2019, the Town of Wakefield partnered with the Massachusetts School Building Authority to explore the feasibility of a new Wakefield Memorial High School. Numerous physical building challenges have resulted in programmatic constraints that limit the High School’s ability to provide a learning environment consistent with the District’s Educational Program. The Permanent Building Committee/School

Building Committee is finalizing the schematic design to establish the scope, budget, and schedule of the proposed project. YES for WMHS is an advocacy group composed of Wakefield residents to raise awareness of the Wakefield Memorial High School Building Project. The mission is to encourage Wakefield voters to make informed decisions regarding the future of Wakefield Public Schools and the community at large.
