Registration is now open for our August Women in Business Luncheon being held at Main St Grille & Taphouse on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 11:30am-1:00pm.
We are thrilled to welcome members of Wakefield Alliance Against Violence!
Wakefield Alliance Against Violence (WAAV) is dedicated to preventing domestic and relationship violence through education, awareness, advocacy, and community collaboration. This presentation provides an overview of domestic violence, including its impact on individuals, families, communities, and the workplace. Participants will learn about the warning signs of unhealthy and abusive relationships, how domestic and relationship violence can affect employees and professional environments, and the importance of recognizing and responding to violence and abuse in the workplace. The presentation will also address workplace violence and the role colleagues, employers, and communities can play in promoting safety, respect, and healthy relationships. Participants will learn about the importance of early intervention and prevention, as well as WAAV's work in the community and the resources available to support survivors and promote safe, respectful environments both at home and at work.
