✨ Child Abuse Prevention Month ✨

I had the honor of serving on the “Building Positive Childhoods” panel yesterday at the Wake County DSS Building, joining experts from across the county to discuss how we can better support our children and families. 💪🏾

We explored practical, strengths-based strategies rooted in prevention, connection, and community—because helping children thrive starts with creating safe, supportive environments. 🤝🏾

One truth that resonated deeply: building positive childhoods starts with us. We have to be healthy, whole, and intentional so we can properly care for our children. 💙

I am incredibly grateful for our social services workers who show up every day committed to preventing child abuse and strengthening families. Your work does not go unnoticed. 🙌🏾✨

✨️ My Peace is My Responsibility ✨️

Honored to serve as the keynote speaker at the NC Department of Adult Corrections Women’s History Month Celebration yesterday. It was a beautiful event highlighting the strength, resilience, and impact of women. 💪🏾💜

I had the opportunity to speak on a message close to my heart—peace—and the importance of taking responsibility for protecting and maintaining it. Because at the end of the day—my peace is my responsibility. 🕊✌🏾

Thank you, Darneshia McCoy, for the invitation and for planning such an incredible event. You did an amazing job!

🎄✨ Shop With a Cop #2 ✨🎄

Last night was such a joy to participate in Shop with a Cop with the Wake Forest Police Department. With 44 children taking part, the State Highway Patrol stepped in to help—and the teamwork was beautiful to see.

Our child was the sweetest, and what touched me most was his desire to pick out something special for his mom. 🥹💛

Thank you to everyone who organized this incredible event, and a special thank-you to Judge Rashad Hauter for the invitation!✨️🎁

🎄✨ Shop with a Cop ✨🎄

This morning was such a beautiful experience participating in Shop with a Cop with the Raleigh Police Department. Being able to include my boys and show them the importance of giving back made it even more meaningful.

The precious little girl we shopped with completely stole my heart. I’m so grateful we could play a small part in making her Christmas a little brighter—she truly deserves it. 💕🎁

Thank you to Chief Boyce for the invitation and to everyone who helped put this event together! 🎉👏🏾
