Aloha mai kākou,

Are you ready to be part of something truly historic? The Ku‘e Petition is more than a campaign — it is a living legacy of courage, unity, and resilience. Join thousands who have already added their voices to a movement that began in 1897 and continues to echo across generations, uplifting Hawaiian rights and self-determination.

From Past Courage to Future Hope

In 1897, more than 21,000 Hawaiians signed the original Ku‘e Petition — many traveling by horseback, boat, and on foot — to oppose the illegal annexation of Hawai‘i. Their signatures were a powerful stand for dignity, sovereignty, and the future of our people. Today, their bravery fuels a renewed effort. We’ve already gathered over 4,000 signatures toward our bold goal of 39,000 — representing Kānaka Maoli and allies from all walks of life, including American citizens who believe in justice and aloha.

Why Your Signature Matters

This is not just a petition — it is a living pulse of our lāhui (nation). Each signature is a meaningful act of:

• Solidarity with the Hawaiian people and values
• Respect for our ancestors and their fight for justice
• Hope for a future rooted in aloha ʻāina and self-determination

By signing, you honor the past, uplift the present, and help shape a more just and sovereign future for Hawai‘i.
Will You Join Us?

Now is the time to add your name, share the petition, and be part of a historic movement for truth and transformation.

Nā Pū’ali Kia’i stands in the footsteps of our kūpuna, carrying forward the legacy of resistance shown in the original Ku‘e Petition of 1897-1898. That historic document, with over 21,000 Kanaka Maoli signatures, declared to the world our people’s unwavering opposition to the illegal annexation of Hawai‘i by the United States, ultimately halting the first attempt at annexation through a treaty.

Today, we echo their voice with a new Ku‘e Petition, calling out the continuous and unlawful occupation of our islands, referencing unjust acts—Newlands Resolution, Organic Act, Jones Act, Hawaiian Homestead Commission Act, and Statehood Act. This modern effort, signed by supporters from all walks of life, demands not just recognition of our sovereign status, but justice and reparations for generations of harm.

We invite everyone to honor our ancestors and join this movement. Let us unite to protect our ‘āina, our culture, and the next seven generations. The struggle of our kūpuna lives on in us—stand strong and sign for justice and a free Hawai‘i.
