It has been brought to our attention that our picture with the firefighters standing in front of a burning home offended some. Please note this was NOT a real house fire. They were training with other departments that day doing a live burn of a home.

We take pride in our men and women and community and would never take a picture during a live active fire. We do apologize for the confusion this photo has caused.

Reminder just one more week before Santa comes to visit the Firefighter's and all the kids at Station 1 in Newport.

Also lets not forget we are doing Toys for Tots this year and if you bring a gift you get a free photo with Santa!
