Job Opening

Anson County Domestic Violence Coalition, Inc.

Position: Full-time Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Advocate
M-F, from 8am-4pm

Requirements: At least 18 years old, resident of Anson County. Ability to comprehend written information in work-related documents. Reliable transportation and valid insurance. Ability to pass criminal background check and drug tests. Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office, able to comprehend written information in work-related documents. Excellent time management, oral and written communication skills.

Preferred: At least (2) years of relevant experience in Human Services or related field. Adequate knowledge of intimate partner violence and victim’s rights. Knowledge of available community resources and crisis intervention methods.

On Friday, March 6, volunteer attorneys across North Carolina will answer civil legal questions by phone during NC Lawyers on Call (4ALL).

Last year, over 7,000 calls were answered in a single day. Whether it’s housing, family law, consumer issues, or other civil matters, help is just a phone call away.

Call your local number on March 6 to speak directly with an attorney. Hosted by the North Carolina Bar Foundation and proudly supported by Legal Aid of North Carolina.

In preparation for our Annual BBQ Fundraiser on February 27, our agency is seeking donations of desserts to help make the event a success!

Acceptable items include baked goods such as cakes, cookies, brownies, etc. for easy serving!

Position Type: Part-Time, On-Call
Schedule: After hours (Monday–Friday) and weekends
Location Requirement: Must remain in Anson County while on call
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license
- Ability to pass a drug test and criminal background check
- Compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor
- Reliable transportation with valid insurance
- Must live in Anson County
- Availability for after-hours and weekend on-call shifts
