A little reminder on holiday recycling from Dem-Con. Dem-Con processes the single sort recycling from our blue bins and the residential recycling collected by haulers like G&T and LPS. Those recyclables are brought to the transfer station where they are then loaded in semi trailers and hauled to the Materials Recovery Facility Dem-Con operates in Shakopee.

Starting Friday June 13th the recycling bins in the City of Wadena will be removed until Monday June 16th. The streets to access the bins will be closed both Friday and Saturday for the June Jubilee celebration.

DO NOT LEAVE MATERIALS ON THE LOT WHEN THE BINS ARE GONE!

With the holidays upon us, just a few reminders for what goes in the recycling bin….

Ribbons and bows are not recyclable.

Styrofoam packing of any kind is not recyclable.

Trees and Wreaths can not be placed in the bins.

Christmas lights MUST be dropped off at the Transfer Station, or placed in the trash.

Fabrics and paper plate/napkins go in the trash.
