There will be a mock dwi incident at the Madrid-Waddington school on Friday morning.
Here is what to expect:
Multiple emergency vehicles responding to the school including Waddington Fire, Waddington Rescue, Madrid Fire, Madrid Rescue, Sheriffs, and St Lawrence County office of Emergency Services vehicles. It will be dispatched over the air for the people who listen to the scanner, and treated as a real emergency on air.

It is only a drill, and thank you for your understanding.

We had a fantastic evening at our Waddington Rescue Squad Banquet honoring the incredible dedication and service of our team members. These amazing individuals go above and beyond to serve our community, and tonight we celebrated their hard work, commitment, and years of service.

We recently held our annual banquet and had the pleasure of recognizing some incredible milestones and achievements!

Carl Ford was honored for 10 years of service. Tammy Kocher and Lee Bruso each celebrated 15 years, and June Dumas marked an amazing 30 years of dedicated service. Waddington Rescue thanks them all for their commitment and contributions over the years!

In addition, Julie Pittsley received the Chief’s Award for her remarkable progress in stepping out of her shell. Her transformation from a shy team member to someone who embraces new challenges and brings a fresh, positive energy has made a significant impact on those around her.

Shelby Boland was honored with the President’s Award for her unwavering support and behind-the-scenes dedication that keeps things running smoothly. She also stepped up and accepted a role as an officer all while being a busy mom of a young active family.

Waddington Rescue would also like to send a huge thanks to Larry and Carol Burns for a generous donation the night of our banquet!
