June is CPR/AED Awareness Month
Rural Metro Fire reminds our community that knowing CPR can save a life. When a cardiac emergency happens, every second counts, and bystanders are often the first and most important link in the chain of survival.

Learning Hands-Only CPR is a simple way to be ready to act. Compression-only CPR means pushing hard and fast in the center of the chest until emergency responders arrive, helping keep blood flowing to the brain and vital organs.

Rural Metro Fire encourages everyone to get trained in CPR and learn how to use an AED. CPR and early defibrillation can double or triple a person’s chance of survival, and the confidence to act before help arrives can make all the difference.

Take the time this June to learn CPR, practice using an AED, and share these lifesaving skills with your family, friends, and coworkers. Be ready to save a life.
