Save the Date for an Introduction to Trauma and a Trauma-Informed Approach taking place Monday, May 12th from 6:00-7:30pm at Carver City Hall (316 Broadway Street, Carver, MN 55315). Hosted by the Carver County Mental Health Local Advisory Council and Adult Mental Health Initiative.

The Carver County Mental Health Local Advisory Council has current vacancies for the following mandated roles as defined in the MN DHS LAC Guidebook: 1) Children’s mental health professional, 2) Adult mental health professional, 3) person who was in a mental health program as a child or adolescent, 3) adults with lived experience of mental illness , 4) family member of a child, adolescent, or adult experiencing mental illness, and 5) a Tribal representative.

The meetings are currently on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in Waconia. Please reach out to Melissa at 952-442-3010 if you would like more information or are interested in joining!

The Carver County Mental Health Local Advisory Council (LAC) and the Adult Mental Health Initiative are interested in learning about the mental health needs of adults living in the Carver County area. You are invited to complete this survey. This information will be used to provide guidance for future planning of programs and services. We are seeking the opinions of adults ages 18 and over who are currently accessing mental health services, as well as those who are not.

The Mental Health Needs Assessment will be open through February 11th, 2024.

There is an option for English or Spanish via this Microsoft Forms survey.

Attention NYA, Hamburg, and New Germany older adults -- we are expanding the monthly NYA free food distribution to include a delivery option for older adults (ages 65+) who are unable to attend the drive-thru event due to mobility issues, transportation barriers, and/or are homebound. This program is for eligible participants only.
