9/11 — The Waco Fire Department observed the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks by joining the Baylor University Army ROTC program for the annual stair climb at McLane Stadium.

The stair climb represents the 2,071 steps that first responders climbed when saving lives on September 11, 2001.

On this 25th Anniversary of 9/11, the City of Waco stands united in remembrance, honoring those who gave everything 25 years ago.

9/11 — Today, on the 25th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks, we take a moment to reflect on the lives lost that day.

Spend time with your loved ones today, and reflect on how strong the American spirit can be.

“If we learn nothing else from this tragedy, we learn that life is short and there is no time for hate.” – Sandy Dahl, wife of Flight 93 pilot Jason Dahl, in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, in 2002.
