Last week, we celebrated being selected by the Texas Veterans Commission to continue our Veterans' Case Management services throughout the Heart of Texas region.

We are honored to serve Veterans and their surviving spouses with accessing resources to meet their basic needs, in hopes to move them beyond hunger to hope.

📢Our pantry reservations have moved to ONLINE ONLY!

Did you know you can schedule a reservation to shop the pantry online? Head to www.caritas-waco.org/reservations/ to book your next visit up to 60 days in advance.

We will no longer be taking reservations over the phone, so make sure you head to the link to schedule a reservation!

Due to utilities work, the pantry will NOT be open for our morning time tomorrow, Wednesday, August 26th. The pantry will reopen in the afternoon from 12:45-2:45 PM.

📢 IF YOU HAVE A RESERVATION FOR THE MORNING: All reservations made for the morning will be honored during any other reservation time between August 26th-31st, which are as listed:

From Soup Kitchen to Community Tradition 🍲

When Feast of Caring began in 1967, the goal was simple: help the community better understand the experience of those facing hunger by recreating the atmosphere of a soup kitchen.

Over the decades, the event has grown into an evening filled with delicious food, friendly competition, and community spirit through our Soup & Dessert Cook-Off, silent auction, and games.

While Feast of Caring looks different today, its purpose remains unchanged: bringing people together to support our neighbors and help move our community beyond hunger to hope.

☀️ What a summer it has been!

Over the past few months, we've had the privilege of serving our neighbors, welcoming volunteers, partnering with community organizations, and creating opportunities for hope throughout the Greater Waco area.

From pantry visits and summer meals to special events, volunteer projects, and community partnerships, this summer was filled with moments that remind us what is possible when neighbors come together to support one another. 💙

Thank you to everyone who helped make this summer impactful, whether through volunteering, donating, partnering, or sharing our mission.
