Area Agency on Aging of the Heart of Texas Area Agencies on Aging are intended to be the nexus for Aging Network services in their Planning & Service Areas (PSAs), of which there are 28 in Texas.

We proudly assist older adults, disabled individuals, and their caregivers in the six-county region known as the Heart of Texas: Bosque, Falls, Freestone, Hill, Limestone, and McLennan counties. BACKGROUND
The Area Agency on Aging of the Heart of Texas (AAAHOT) is administered by the Heart of Texas Council of Governments under the oversight of the Texas Health and Human Services Committee's Office

of Area Agencies on Aging (OAAA). Established by the Older Americans Act in 1965, the AAA system is part of the federal/state/ local network of senior services referred to collectively as the Aging Network. AAAHOT's PSA covers the entirety of Bosque, Falls, Freestone, Hill, Limestone, and McLennan counties. ORGANIZATIONAL OBJECTIVES
AAAHOT is an organization committed to improving the quality of life for those in greatest need by:
Providing advocacy, assistance, and access to services & supports via the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive, integrated continuum of health and human services, to empower our consumers and their families to maintain their independence, freedom, and dignity. We will support this effort of developing and expanding home & community-based services while maintaining the highest standards and quality of service throughout our six-county area with the complete integration of health and human service delivery systems through advocacy, coordination, collaboration, and advanced technology. We will achieve these goals by expanding partnerships with both public & private organizations and through the vigorous pursuit of additional resources to address unmet needs. PROGRAMS
