🎭 On the last day of school, students in Mr. Medina's 9th Grade English class brought Shakespeare to life by performing Down With the Capulets, a shortened version of Romeo and Juliet.

As part of their final project for the unit, students stepped into the roles of actors, showcasing their understanding of the classic story while having a little fun along the way. Great job!

🛠️🚧 Construction Update!👷🦺

Week of May 31, 2026: WK’s second summer of construction has officially begun!

First - A huge thank you to our students and staff for all the extra work emptying classrooms!

Next - A review of what will happen in Phase 2:
•Elementary office and entrance update
•Secondary entrance update
•More elementary bathrooms
•Elementary classroom updates (paint, flooring, furniture)
•New CTE (shop/industrial tech) classrooms
•Kitchen flooring and updates
•New cafeteria ceiling
•Continued upgrades to HVAC and roof

Last, but not least - Continued appreciation to the WK community for the support that makes this all possible!

🚧 Construction Phase 2 is officially underway! 🚧

As work continues on our building project, the water will be shut off on Monday and Tuesday, June 8–9. As a result, school offices will be closed both days.

🥧😄 Our End-of-the-Year Falcon Way Assembly was filled with fun and celebration!

The monthly character trait winners had their names entered into a drawing for the chance to pie a teacher. Teachers were also randomly selected, making for plenty of laughs and excitement!

🌺🌴 Mrs. Metcalf's preschool class celebrated the end of the year with a Luau!

Students dressed up and enjoyed a Hawaiian-themed lunch featuring Hawaiian sandwiches, tropical fruit, veggies, and brownies. They also received special awards as they celebrated a fantastic year of learning, growth, and friendship! ☀️🍍

🚌❤️🖤 Congratulations to these students who received a Falcon Way bus ticket for demonstrating The Falcon Way while riding the bus!

This school year, more than 80 students earned tickets, with some receiving multiple tickets for their positive behavior. Thanks to the generosity of Bluff Country School Bus, one student each month received a special prize, and every student who earned a ticket received a Dairy Queen certificate for a free small Blizzard at the end of the year. 🍦👏

A huge thank you to Bluff Country School Bus for recognizing and supporting our students as they make positive choices every day!
