The Citizens' Cultural and Diversity Committee offers an opportunity for input from all residents to develop programs that promote greater understanding and appreciation of our diverse community's values.

The third annual Juneteenth celebration, held on June 19, was a huge success! Thank you to all who helped foster community spirit, enjoyed family time, engaged with vendors, and appreciated cultural entertainment. Special thanks are also due to those who helped organize this event. The day provided an ideal opportunity to honor the emancipation of enslaved individuals in the United States. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year. 🫶

The Voorhees Cultural & Diversity Committee is excited to invite you to the third annual Freedom Day Celebration on Friday, June 19, 2026, to honor Juneteenth.

Join us for this FREE event at Connolly Park, located at 605 Centennial Boulevard, Voorhees, NJ, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Expect an evening filled with community, reflection, and celebration, featuring music, performances, food trucks, arts and crafts, and more.

INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR COUNTERING HATE SPEECH

The United Nations Strategy and Plan of Action on Hate Speech has declared June 18th as the International Day for Countering Hate Speech. The destructive impact of hatred is unfortunately not a new phenomenon, but its scale and impact are now amplified by
communication technologies. As a result, hate speech has become one of the most common methods for spreading divisive rhetoric and ideologies on a global scale. There is no place for hate speech.
