Not every workplace hazard is easy to see but awareness is the first step in controlling risk.

OSHA #7205: Health Hazard Awareness, a 6-hour virtual course covering common workplace health hazards, including exposure to chemicals, asbestos, silica, and lead.

Participants will learn how to identify and evaluate health hazards, understand sources of exposure, and explore engineering and work practice controls that support safer workplaces.

This course is ideal for safety professionals, supervisors, facility managers, maintenance teams, and anyone responsible for recognizing and addressing workplace health hazards.

Scavenger Hunt Hike Logistics: · Event will be held on June 27th on the Baker Hollow Branch of the East Lakeshore Trail · Initial starting time is 9:30 A.M. with varying start times afterwards · Scavenger Hunt Hike is over at 12:30 P.M. · Event Headquarters is at the Baker Hollow Branch trailhead · Parking and Restrooms are located at the trailhead Scavenger Hunt Hike Event Details: · Open to Loudon County Elementary School children · At least One parent or immediate relative must participate · Participants are to locate plants and trees on a prepared list · Clue sheets are provided to help locate items on the list · Ideal Maximum hiking distance is 1 mile out and 1 mile back (can do less) · Points awarded for identifying different numbers of plants and trees · Prizes awarded based on point totals · Free iNaturalist app should be downloaded on smart phone in advance Only 20 families can participate in this year’s event.
