Free Medical, Dental, and Optometry Care June 19-28 by Tropic Care

Hawaiʻi District Health Office (HDHO) and the County of Hawaiʻi, in partnership with the state and federal Departments of Defense, are proud to announce the return of Tropic Care to Hawaiʻi Island.

From June 19-28, 2026, uniformed military members will deliver no-cost medical, dental and optometry care to local residents at multiple primary sites and outreach locations.

We look forward to seeing you at this yearʻs Hōʻikeʻike opening reception Monday January 12th at the Volcano Art Center at 5:30pm. Please support our haumāna in their learning journey by viewing their writing, artwork and other projects that theyʻve been working on throughout the first half of the school year. Light refreshments will be served. If youʻre unable to join us, the student showcase will be open to the public on Tuesday and Wednesday during the day. You will also have the opportunity to leave feedback to students. See you there!
