Inspiring the next generation of public safety professionals starts with giving students the chance to learn directly from those serving their community.
Recently, Probation Officer Jessica Moncada represented Tulare County Probation at Golden West High School’s Leaders of Tomorrow event for its First Responders Academy.
Alongside professionals from other public safety agencies, Officer Moncada shared her experience working in Probation and spoke with students about the profession and how they can prepare for career opportunities, including advice about applying for positions. She was impressed by how prepared, engaged, and respectful the students were throughout the event. They asked thoughtful questions, showed genuine interest in the field, and were already thinking about their own future careers.
Experiences like these give students the opportunity to hear directly from professionals in the field, explore different public safety career paths, and build the knowledge and confidence that can help prepare them for the workforce.
Thank you to Golden West High School’s First Responders Academy for inviting Officer Moncada and Tulare County Probation to be part of Leaders of Tomorrow.
