Ag Secretary Brooke Rollins is sharing her thoughts on USDA's renewed push for the "Product of the USA" label.
She says there will be no more foreign beef sold as American beef.

She emphasized the move is about fair competition and believes that foreign countries may actually welcome the rules.

"This new label is about enhancing competitiveness for our producers, our great American producers, by leveling the playing field and increasing transparency through truthful labeling, because what our ranchers raise in this country is the very best in the entire world. It is why, as we're opening up these markets in the UK and Australia and others, more countries want our beef," she explains.

Other countries are showing an increased demand for U.S. beef.

A recent report from the U.S. Meat Export Federation shows trends in Asian and Western Hemisphere Markets, while China's market remains a volatile factor.
