☀️ School’s Out for Summer 2026! ☀️

With school officially out, our neighborhoods, parks, and streets will be filled with children enjoying their summer break.

The Village of Virginia Gardens reminds all motorists to slow down, stay alert, and be mindful of children at play. Kids may be riding bikes, scooters, skateboards, or crossing the street unexpectedly while enjoying the outdoors.

Let’s work together to keep our community safe all summer long.

🚸 Drive carefully. Watch for children. Enjoy a safe and fun summer!

The Village of Virginia Gardens was honored to participate in the City of Miami Springs Memorial Day Ceremony 2026 at the Miami Springs War Memorial.

We are especially proud of Virginia Gardens Police Department Officer Tejera, who led the Virginia Gardens Honor Guard during this meaningful tribute honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

The Village also extends its sincere appreciation to the City of Miami Springs for recognizing the late Virginia Gardens Councilman Richard Block for his service as a United States veteran. It was a fitting tribute to honor his legacy and dedication to both his country and our community.

Thank you to the City of Miami Springs for hosting this beautiful ceremony and for ensuring that the sacrifices of our fallen heroes are never forgotten.

🇺🇸 We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Village of Virginia Gardens 🚲💙

Last week, the Village of Virginia Gardens was proud to serve as the starting point for Blessed Trinity Catholic School’s Middle School Bike to School Ride, organized by Student Council President Brooke.

What began in Virginia Gardens became a wonderful morning filled with big smiles, school spirit, and community connection as students, parents, school officials, teachers, and residents rode together to school.

A special thank you to VGPD Chief Ray Hernandez for helping direct traffic and ensure everyone arrived safely. His support helped make the morning a tremendous success.

This special ride highlighted the importance of exercise, bicycle safety, and community—and was a great reminder of what makes Virginia Gardens so special.

We also want to recognize Brooke for her leadership and initiative in organizing such a meaningful event. We’re excited to hear conversations are already underway to bring this event back monthly beginning with the 2026–2027 school year this August.

They say it takes a village… and moments like this are a beautiful reminder that ours truly is one of the best. 💙✨
