Labor Day weekend means our crews are staying busy serving the community.

Yesterday, three KVRS units were spotted at Leigh Memorial Hospital after transporting patients for continued care. While many are enjoying the holiday weekend, our volunteers remain ready to answer the call whenever help is needed.

Please join us in welcoming Isabella to Kempsville Volunteer Rescue Squad! 💚🚑

Isabella joined KVRS because she saw an opportunity to grow, learn, and challenge herself while working alongside an incredible group of people. She is excited to get to know the members of Rescue 9, learn from their experiences, and contribute to the strong foundation that makes our squad so special.

Outside of KVRS, Isabella currently works in patient transport and has her sights set on becoming a paramedic. She hopes to begin paramedic school in the coming months and is eager to continue building her knowledge and experience in EMS.

We're excited to have Isabella on board and look forward to watching her grow as a provider and teammate.

As students head back to the classroom, we encourage everyone to stay alert and help keep our roads safe. Watch for school buses, obey school zone speed limits, and stay aware of children walking, biking, and crossing the street.

From all of us at KVRS, we wish students, teachers, staff, and families a safe and successful school year!

Rainy roads mean slower reactions and reduced visibility. 🌧️🚑

If you see an ambulance approaching with lights and sirens, stay calm, stay alert, and safely move out of their way if possible. A few extra seconds can make all the difference for someone waiting for help.
