W. Michael Galliher The Heart to Serve, The Will to Lead

Roanoke County Circuit Court Clerk Outside of the office, I'm committed to serving my community.

I am a conservative republican, and I grew up in the Catawba District of Roanoke County and graduated high school from Northside High School. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication (Public Relations) from Radford University and have been a Deputy Clerk in the Roanoke County Circuit Court Clerk's office since 2011. Now I am taking my next step in leadership in the office and commu

nity by being a candidate to be the next Clerk of Circuit Court in Roanoke County. I have been married since 2005, and after graduating from Radford me and my wife Stephanie moved back to Roanoke County to start a family. We have two amazing kids, a daughter, Adelyn, and a son, Ronan, who attend Roanoke County public schools. We are members of First Christian Church in Salem, where I serve as an Elder, and Stephanie serves as a Deacon. I have been a proud Rotarian since 2013. I have held multiple Board positions (Children's Trust and Prevention Council of Roanoke County). I have been an Event Chair for various fundraising events. I have coached Rec League sports for Roanoke County beginning in 2015. I have spent my time volunteering for many non-profit organizations throughout the years. One of my favorite achievements is leading a grass-roots campaign, which gained national attention and performed interviews for media platforms that were aired and published throughout the United States. From my days at Masons Cove to graduating from Northside and today, the Roanoke County community has helped raise and develop me into the person I am today. I would be honored to earn your vote to serve this wonderful community.

Behind every case, every record, and every court proceeding, there’s a Clerk’s Office making it all work.

A few duties out of our 800+ responsibilities include:

• Processing filings in civil and criminal cases
• Managing court records and ensuring they are accurate, secure, and accessible
• Recording land records that protect property ownership
• Probating Wills and handling estates
• Issuing marriage licenses and administering oaths
• Processing concealed handgun permits
• Supporting juries and assisting jurors
• Collecting and distributing court-ordered fines, costs, and restitution
• Assisting the public, attorneys, and judges with professionalism and care

Much of the work happens behind the scenes, but it’s essential to keeping the court system running efficiently, transparently, and with integrity.
