Special Response personnel actively assisting VBPD with this search.

Police are searching for an 11-year-old boy who is believed to have gone missing or runaway from a home on Friday.

Special Response was activated to provide medical coverage and rehab for a local community event. It was another hot and humid Virginia Beach afternoon. Our standby allowed an ambulance to return to duty to help other citizens. It also gave us a chance to set up and work with our gear.

Thank you to all who came out for training. In 4 hours we had a brief meeting and discussion (and breakfast--- thanks Ben & Billy!), then completely unpacked both trucks, cleaned things, checked everything over, did a little training, and put it all back where it belonged. Great job everyone!

The next MCI Treatment Area Operations Class will be held Saturday, February 10 at 1pm at the Virginia Beach EMS HQ and Training Center. Class is open to all approved VBEMS members, including students (with instructor permission).
