Apollo wants you to meet his friend Zodiac!

Zodiac the Akita joined us for a shift last night all the way from Ohio! He and mom Shirley volunteer with Crisis Canine Corps and deploy all over for tragedies, including the recent ODU shooting. Zodiac and Apollo make a great team and we welcome Zodiac back anytime he’s in VB!

VBEMS Therapy Dog Team met with students in the Kellam High School Medipath Club, a club for those interested in medical jobs after graduation. We discussed different medical jobs dogs can have, the benefits of therapy dogs in the workplace, and the progressive mental health avenues our department offers.

As always, Louie the Doberman was a perfect gentleman and loved seeing all the students. His favorite part was the cool tile floor and the copious amounts of pets he got.
