The Langley for Families Foundation recently awarded $10,000 to the Virginia Beach Education Foundation to support their Beach Bags Program. 🎒

Each week, this program delivers an average of 1,200 “Beach Bags” filled with kid-friendly, shelf-stable food to students facing food insecurity—bridging the gap between school meals over weekends and breaks. This grant will help stock food for student-led “Pack It Forward” volunteer events, which pack and distribute bags while building community awareness.

No child should have to wonder where their next meal is coming from. This program helps make sure they don’t have to. 🥪

VBSchools is hiring Special Education Assistants to support students with diverse learning needs in Virginia Beach!

Our special education assistants work side by side with teachers and specialists to help students reach their individual goals through one-on-one support, small group instruction, behavior reinforcement and personal care assistance. This role makes a real difference every single day.

A high school diploma or GED is required, and some experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.

Last week, we had the pleasure of dropping off school supply donations at College Park Elementary School, part of VBSchools 📚 We joined them for their "Back to School Block Party", which featured backpack and school supply giveaways to prepare for the start of the new school year.

All donations were gathered by our friends at the Virginia Beach/Chesapeake locations of West Shore Home Virginia Beach! Each summer, their employees collect schools supplies to ensure all children have the tools they need to succeed in the classroom.

We're incredibly thankful they chose to support us in making sure that all children have the opportunity to THRIVE! ✨
