Well…💚🍀
By now, most know that today was my last day serving the Virginia Beach 4-H program. I am not typically an emotional person, but I guess kids will do that to you lol.

I couldn't leave without making this one last post. There couldn't have been a better way to end my time here than COAST Camp last week.

To my teens❤️—I know our time together was short, but I hope you know how much I love each of you. I couldn't be more proud or grateful to have been your 4-H Agent. Every one of you is special in your own way! You guys have no idea how much you've shaped me, challenged me, and helped me grow. I know what true 4-H spirit looks like because of y'all. Thank you for believing in yourselves, believing in this program, and making this past year one we will never forget!

In just one year’s time, our teen program has doubled. The foundation has been laid, and I can't wait to see all the amazing things you're going to do!

To my camping partner, Aaron! Thank you doesn’t begin to cover it. It’s been such a joy working so closely with you this past year! Just know, I’ll create a new spreadsheet with you anytime!

& To our amazing adult volunteers—Chris, Scott, Rebecca, Michele, and Tyler—thank you for welcoming and supporting me! The way you love these kids and this program is so evident. Thank you for being such a steady presence for them. This program is better because of each of you.

This isn't goodbye. It's simply... see you later🍀💚

Camp was truly a family affair🫶🏼🫶🏾!

There was something extra special about seeing siblings—and cousins—making camp memories together this week💚

We hope our camp parents enjoyed a little peace and quiet while we borrowed your kids for the week! Thank you for trusting us with them.

& a huge shoutout to one of our adult volunteers, Rebecca for making sure she tracked down as many sibling photos as she could. I asked and she delivered!! We only missed a couple. So many of the beautiful images you'll see from camp this week are thanks to her incredible eye behind the

Where do I even begin? 💚🍀✨

That camp magic is simply indescribable. 4-H Camp was EVERYTHING—smiles, laughter, friendship, learning, unforgettable memories, and LOTS of 4-H spirit! Every moment reminded us why camp is so special. The energy was electric🔥!

Campers have been safely returned to parents as we wrap up another fantastic week of camp!

A huge shout out to our newest camping partners in Virginia Beach 4-H. Ms. Des, her volunteers, and counselors welcomed us with open arms and showed our campers a whole new level of camp enthusiasm.

And a big thank you to everyone at Airfield 4-H Conference Center for giving the campers a summer they will always remember.

And finally a big thank you to the Portsmouth Norfolk volunteers. Heather, Tam, Julie, and Derby. This would not have been possible without you.

For those that don’t know I grew up camping at Airfield all the way back to 1998. This summer was a reunion of some very close friends that used to work on the summer staff together. And even in our 30’s (ughh I know) we are still having just as much fun at camp like we are still campers.

See everyone next year (or in the 4-H club because why wouldn’t you want to do 4-H year around?)

In June, members of our 4-H Teen Club spent several days volunteering at the Virginia Beach SPCA! We had a great time giving back, learning about the shelter's work, and meeting some of the animals and people there.

Zeus was the sweetest boy for us🐾.

Thank you to the SPCA staff and volunteers for welcoming us and giving us a behind-the-scenes look at the important work you all do. If you're looking for a new pet, please check out their page and consider giving one of these deserving animals a place to call home❤️.
