We are honored to announce that Admiral Lisa Franchetti, USN (Ret.), 33rd Chief of Naval Operations, will join us as our Distinguished Guest Speaker at the Military Women’s Memorial’s National Women Veterans Recognition Day Celebration on June 12!
As America commemorates its 250th anniversary, we are proud to celebrate the more than 250-year legacy of women’s service to our Nation, from the women who fought for independence before there was a United States to the military women serving around the world today.
A trailblazing leader, Admiral Franchetti dedicated more than four decades to serving our Nation. As the 33rd Chief of Naval Operations, she led the United States Navy during a pivotal period in our Nation’s history and inspired generations through her leadership, service, and unwavering commitment to those who wear the uniform.
Her remarkable career reflects the service, courage, determination, and excellence demonstrated by military women throughout our Nation’s history, making her an extraordinary voice for this milestone celebration.
Join us as we honor generations of women who answered the call to serve and those currently serving, unveil our new exhibit - "Women of Valor: 250 Years of Women Serving Our Nation," and celebrate the service, sacrifice, courage, and contributions of the women who helped build, defend, and strengthen America.
