MEDICAL TEAM - I am extremely proud of the team of medical professionals who are responsible for the daily health, safety and well-being of our 200+ Challengers, Cadre and visitors on Camp Liberty.
They provide emergency response, Sick Call and Med Call management each day. Additionally, they act as Safety Officers throughout our 75 acre facility, as well as off-site training sites.
Due to the physical aspects of our programs, our medical support goes far beyond state and industry standards for any youth camp in America. Our support is on-par with any operational military unit.
Our team of medical professionals include:
Mr. Hugh Coffee - Paramedic/Firefighter with deployments worldwide. Recently returned from Ukraine. He is the "Top Doc" on-site and in charge of all Medical Operations.
SFC Chris Rayl, XMC, EMR - Army Veteran and serving Soldier in the Georgia Defense Force. He is the NCOIC of the Medical Team.
SGT Parker Klass, EMT-B - A Combat Medic in the Army Reserve with two deployments.
Ms. Lisa Renfro, EMT-B Graduate of EMS Fast-Track on Camp Liberty. Certified in Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC).
They are supported by:
Dr. Scott Warner, MD, Camp Liberty Medical Director - Tactical Medicine and a serving Law Enforcement Officer.
Dr. (LTC) John Wideman, MD, Camp Liberty Medical Advisor - Former Green Beret medic and father of a former XMC Cadet.
This team puts a great deal of effort and individual response to ensure each Challenger, Cadre and visitor receives immediate medical care, as needed. Our Medical Aid Station (a "First Aid Station" not a "Medical Clinic") was built by Camp Liberty Cadre three years ago. It is unlike anything found on a youth camp and serves as a medical facility, as well as training site for Cadet Medic School and EMS Fast-Track (Vet2EMS.com ).
