Cumberland Family Shelter Social Workers Stefoni Sacca and John Rilley, alongside their classmates, recently completed the 2025 Garden State Leaders training through the New Jersey Coalition to End Homelessness.
The Garden State Leaders program is a leadership and advocacy training opportunity for New Jersey residents. It equips participants with the tools, knowledge, and confidence needed to advocate for meaningful change in their communities.

This Christmas celebration was made especially meaningful for the children of the Cumberland Family Shelter thanks to the generosity of local businesses, organizations, and individuals—some pictured below, while others were a bit too shy to pose.

A trifecta of thanks to our partners across the County of Cumberland — the Board of Social Services, the Sheriff’s Department, and the County Administration — for teaming up with us to provide hundreds of families with hundreds of bags of food.
