It's election day! Be sure to get out and rock the vote!!

The election is already well underway! Now more than ever, we have to buckle down and focus our attention where it counts - on our kids and our community. The school board shouldn't be mired in politics; it should be above that. Our kids deserve no less. So, if you haven't yet voted, I encourage you to do so - be part of the solution vote for Leon Carelli for the School Board. Also, send another parent to the school board by writing in Jacqueline Markhorst for the 3rd school board seat.

If you have questions for me, then keep your eye on FB - I'm hoping to host a couple of Facebook lives this weekend to be able to answer any questions you might have.

I know that many people have concerns about what our district has gone through for the past several years. As a parent, one of the single best things you can do to help is to sign up for one of the committees at the PTA. These committees help entertain, educate, and engage our students and staff.

We've got a big job ahead Southampton. Don't whine - get to work!

Residents of this community may disagree on many important and personal topics. However our community leaders can and must focus on what is best for the education, growth and welfare of our kids. We need to leave the culture wars at the doors and deal with the very real problems currently facing our district. That is what I intend to do and I look forward to working with those who can do the same.
