It’s Woodsy Owl’s Birthday!

55 years ago today, Woodsy Owl made his debut with USDA Forest Service with an important message: “Give a hoot! Don’t pollute!”

Woodsy’s birthday is a great opportunity to celebrate our community and the environment we all share. Keeping our streets, parks, waterways, and public spaces clean takes all of us.

Here are a few simple ways we can all make a difference:
* Dispose of litter properly.
* Recycle when possible.
* Help keep our parks and public spaces clean.
* Pick up litter when you see it.
* Encourage your neighbors, friends, and family to do their part.

Small actions add up to a cleaner, healthier, and stronger community for everyone.

Let’s celebrate Woodsy Owl by giving a hoot and doing our part to keep our community clean!

**From Vincennes Water Utilities**

The Vincennes Water Department is fixing a water main break on Gravel King Rd which may require water to be shut down to households along 15th Street from Main St to Nicholas St, from 15th to the end of Vigo St behind Vigo School, and 15th to Colony Drive.
If water has to be shutdown, we will restore water as soon as possible.

Good news for Vincennes drivers!

PROJECT UPDATE: U.S. 41 and Hart Street in Knox County

Good news everyone! Beginning on or around 9 a.m. this morning, the lights at the U.S. 41 and Hart Street interchange will return to normal operations. This follows an all way stop operation for work in the area.

Beginning on or around Sunday, July 26, crews will begin overnight paving operations on Hart Street in Vincennes. These operations will happen within the current work zone on and around the Hart Street bridge over U.S. 41.
