This is a reminder that tomorrow evening is the Vilonia Christmas Parade, starting at dark. Main Street will be closed from Cemetery Street to Bise Drive. Bise Drive and Lloyd Street will also be closed. Eagle Street will be closed at Elementary Drive. So remember, if you are at one of the businesses in that area, you will be there until the parade ends.

We want to give a huge thank you to Carlson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu for letting the Vilonia Police Department use their facility for some awesome training! We picked up some great pointers for defensive tactics and had a blast working alongside some really skilled folks.

The Vilonia Police Department is currently seeking candidates for a full-time patrol officer position. Applications from both certified and uncertified individuals will be considered. Interested applicants can obtain an application at Vilonia City Hall during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.

🚔📚 Big first day for our schools!

Today marks the very first day for our very own SRO, Corporal Steve Austin, as he begins his first year serving Vilonia Schools.

As the school year kicks off, we want to wish Cpl. Austin and all of our students the very best first day back. Praying for a safe, successful, and memorable year ahead for everyone!

On July 21, 2025, at approximately 5:00am a Vilonia Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding on Hwy. 64. The vehicle stopped and the officer was given a false name and asked two occupants to exit the vehicle, 15yo juvenile driver and passenger Jabariyon Crenshaw. The vehicle then fled towards White County and the vehicle broke down on Hwy. 64 near Gilliham Rd. in Beebe. The vehicle was later found to have been reported stolen from the City of Beebe.

The passenger fled in one direction with the driver exiting the vehicle and running onto Hwy. 64. The suspects and officer got into a physical altercation in the roadway with the officer on the ground. The suspects then jumped into the officer’s unit and began to flee towards Beebe with White County Deputies and Beebe Police got involved in a pursuit of the stolen police vehicle. The pursuit continued onto Dewitt Henry Drive near Carson Street, where the suspects fled on foot from the vehicle after the vehicle crashed into ditch.

ADC along with Arkansas State Police responded to assist in the apprehension and location of the suspects. It was later determined that the suspects were located at an address on Road Island Street in Beebe. State Police Swat and White County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team responded to the address and were able to call the suspects over a loudspeaker, and they were taken into custody.

Both suspects gave statements about their involvement with the juvenile being transferred to Faulkner County Juvenile for Felony Fleeing and Crenshaw is initially charged with Felony Theft of Property and more charges are pending.

We want to thank Arkansas State Police, AR Dept Corrections K9 Teams, United States Marshall Service, Beebe Police Department, Vilonia Police Department, Searcy Police Department, Searcy Fire Department, the Central Arkansas Drug Task Force and any other agencies involved.

As the 4th of July approaches, we want to ensure all residents within Vilonia city limits are aware of the city’s fireworks regulations.

Per Ordinance 2010-2, fireworks may only be discharged on the following dates and times:

➡ July 3rd through July 5th
➡ From 3 PM to 10:30 PM

Use of fireworks outside these times or in violation of the ordinance is prohibited and may result in fines or other penalties.
