Evangeline Library Weekly Announcements

Please note that the Main Library and all branches will be closed on Monday, September 7th, in observance of Labor Day. All branches will resume their normal hours on Tuesday, September 8th.We wish all of our patrons a safe and memorable holiday celebration!

Tuesday, September 8th
Join us at the Main Library for Chair Exercise at 10:30 AM. This program is held on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and is a great way to stay active and have fun!

In our Meeting Room at 1:00 PM join us for a Medicare 101 Class with Mr. Tony. This class is designed to explain your Medicare options and help you better understand your choices.
To RSVP, please call 337-366-8700.

Also, at 1:00 PM, Let’s Talk French will be in the Multi-Purpose Room. Come join us and practice your French in a friendly and welcoming environment!

Wednesday, September 9th join Glenn Meche & Glen at 10:30 AM for Line Dancing! Enjoy a fun cardio workout while learning some new dance moves. Come get active, have fun, and enjoy the music!

Friday, September 11th, end the week with our Mahjong Group from 1:00–3:00 PM in the multi-Purpose Room. Bring your board, gather with friends, and join us for some good fun!

🐛📚 Toddler Time Was a Success!

We had so much fun at Toddler Time! We sang songs, enjoyed story time with Ms. Keishia Ford, and read The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. We also had fun coloring and completed an activity sheet designed to help practice visual-motor integration skills.

Thank you to everyone who came out and joined us! We hope to see you all again next month on the first Tuesday! 🌟

A special thank you to the Sacred Heart Evangelizing Ladies for their generous donation of a large amount of little boy’s clothing to our Nurturing Nook!

Because of generous donations like yours, we are able to provide FREE items for babies and mommies right here at the Ville Platte Main Library.

The Nurturing Nook is located inside the Ville Platte Main Library, and ALL items are FREE to families in need.

Thank you for helping us support our moms and little ones in our community!
