Congratulations to TIVFD Volunteer Firefighters, Charles Korb (aka Chad), Helen Korb and Matt Mixon for completing more training with TEEX (Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service) in early March. Chad completed a Firefighter Instructor class. Helen and Matt completed an Extrication class.

Good points to keep in mind during cold weather months from Houston Fire Department

🌬️ Big weather changes ahead, H-Town!

A strong cold front will move in Saturday night — bringing cooler temperatures, gusty winds, and very dry conditions early next week. That means an increased risk for grass and brush fires Sunday and Monday.

As the cold settles in, take a moment to review a few cold weather fire safety tips — from heating your home safely to preventing carbon monoxide dangers.

Also, with cold weather ahead, don't forget to care for the four P's: pets, pipes, people, and plants!
