September’s Birthday Bunch & Lunch was a huge success! 🎉

We’re proud to partner with NEDSRA to offer free culinary classes for veterans at the Villa Park Recreation Center!

Last night, participants joined Chef Tara Humphrey for a Mexican-inspired cooking class, making delicious dishes from scratch including plantains, mole, guacamole, and Mexican hot chocolate. 🌮🍫

As part of our partnership, V.E.T.S. program members can also enjoy a free annual VPRC membership, group fitness classes for veterans, social events, and more—all right here at the Villa Park Recreation Center! 💪🤝

Our next session of Dogs Can Do Academy starts September 26! 🐶

Join Matt, a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, for two great classes:

🐾 Puppy Kindergarten – Designed for pups with little to no formal training. The first class is a Puppy Parents-only orientation. This class covers early obedience, potty training, basic manners (like nipping, chewing, and excitement), and how to make vet visits, car rides, and grooming more enjoyable.

🐾 Adult Obedience – Ideal for dogs and pet parents with little to no training experience. Focus on essential commands like loose leash walking, sit, stay, recall, and how to manage distractions and address basic behavioral issues.
