Kim Le is an award-winning pianist, composer, conductor, educator, and community leader who has dedicated her life to using music and the arts to bring people together across Orange County. The daughter of Vietnamese immigrants, Kim could barely speak English when she entered sixth grade in San Diego, but through music she found her voice, confidence, and passion for helping others do the same.
After studying piano with her father, renowned composer Le Van Khoa, Kim went on to teach at Pacific Conservatory for 15 years before becoming owner in 2016. Since then, she has mentored countless students while directing concerts, festivals, and theatrical productions throughout the region. Her students regularly volunteer and perform at community events including the OC Fair, Make Music Day, and the Orange International Street Fair, continuing her mission of using music to strengthen community connections.
Kim currently serves as Chairwoman of the John Wayne Airport Arts Commission, where she has helped showcase the work of more than 110 local artists through 26 airport display cases. Through initiatives like the OC AirPass program, she continues to make art more accessible and meaningful for the community. She also serves on the board of Arts Orange County, the Community Development Block Grants Committee, and is an active member of the Orange Elks.
In recognition of her extraordinary contributions to children, music, and community engagement, Kim received “Woman of the Year” honors at both the state and federal levels in 2020. She was also named Orange Chamber of Commerce Ambassador of the Year and Orange Elks Citizen of the Year.
Kim believes music does more than teach performance , it builds confidence, compassion, leadership, and lifelong human connection. She will be hosting a special concert at Sunrise Senior Living on May 31st, continuing her inspiring work of bringing joy and community through music.
