6/3/26 UPDATE: The beach project is complete and the park is open to the public!

The stretch of beach at Parrish Park, Titusville, will be temporarily closed to the public beginning today (Thursday, April 16). The closure is due to a project that will restore the eroding shoreline conditions and the horseshoe crab habitat. The project is expected to be completed by June.

The remainder of Parrish Park -- including parking lots, boat ramps, sidewalks, and walking trail -- will remain open to the public during this time. Visitors will not be able to access the beach or launch boats from the beach but can utilize the area near the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission building at the park to launch canoes and kayaks.

Parrish Park is located at 1 A. Max Brewer Memorial Parkway, Titusville, FL 32796. For any questions regarding the project, please contact the Brevard County Natural Resources Department at (321) 633-2016.

🐦 First week in June means a new ! This month we are featuring the Helen and Allan Cruickshank Sanctuary! 🌱

Located at 360 Barnes Blvd., Rockledge, the is an important steppingstone within the county’s network of scrub and connecting natural areas. The 160-acre sanctuary was originally part of a larger span of high, dry scrubby habitat. Fire suppression and the invasion of exotic species drastically reduced the variety of plants and animals found on site. Through proper land management, the original habitats have been restored, and the site has seen a dramatic increase in biodiversity.

For more information about the sanctuary, please visit our website: https://www.brevardfl.gov/EELProgram/Sanctuaries/HelenAndAllanCruickshankSanctuary
