Time to introduce our 3rd speaker for the "adding value to the cull cow" panel... Steve Freeman! Follow the event page- MO Forage & Grassland Council Annual Conference

"Steve Freeman, along with his wife Judy are owners and managers of Woods Fork Cattle Company LLC in Wright County, Missouri.
Judy and Steve began their farming career on a small farm in Wright County, Missouri in 1978. While Judy milked 30 goats by hand for their Grade C dairy, Steve worked on a large commercial cattle operation focused on developing crossbred Brahma cattle. In 1987 they purchased their present farm and began a full-time cow/calf operation as well as stockers and at one time 250 wooled sheep. Their first managed grazing system was installed in 1987 and cattle, grazing, and grass have been a focus for the past 37 years.
The Freemans host farm tours and grazing schools on their farm and enjoy being “grazing advocates”. As Steve says “People are beginning to understand the importance of grass and proper forage management in helping our world become a better place to live. It’s a very exciting time to be a grass farmer”.
Steve is a board member of MFGC and member of the Top of the Ozarks Grazing Group - a grassroot organization of graziers in Southern Missouri. Steve also enjoys his once a week geezerball (old man basketball), coaching softball and reading."
