For 19 years, Devron faithfully served as a Night Stocker at the NAS Jacksonville Commissary through Challenge Enterprises, helping ensure that military families, veterans, and retirees had access to the products they needed. Today, he has continued his successful employment journey in the IRS mailroom at the Bennett Building in downtown Jacksonville.

Devron's story is one of perseverance, growth, and impact. His success demonstrates that when individuals with disabilities are given opportunities to thrive, they become valued employees, trusted teammates, and role models within their communities. His voice will help advocate for the importance of inclusive employment and the life-changing opportunities it creates.

SourceAmerica's nationwide network continues to advocate for people with disabilities, including veterans, during the Congressional district work period. Peckham Inc., an apparel manufacturing and textile solutions company, welcomed Rep. Kristen McDonald Rivet at their Flint, Michigan location. During the tour, she learned about Peckham's U.S. Department of Labor-certified apprenticeship program. She was also given an overview of the equipment used by Program employees to produce quality mission-critical products. Additionally, SourceAmerica proudly welcomed Congressman Frank Lucas as our newest AbilityOne Congressional Champion. That day, he also participated in a tour of the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center with DRTC.

Did you know that in 2025, $72.4 million in total wages were paid to veterans with disabilities in SourceAmerica’s network? We are proud to offer support for veterans with disabilities, including job options with competitive pay and benefits, on-the-job support, and military-to-civilian employment assistance. Veterans with disabilities bring unique skills to the workforce from their time in the military, including leadership, adaptability, and specialized training. Many veteran employees in our network even continue supporting the military through work on Department of War contracts.

The Technology Automation Enhancement Program grants funds to nonprofit organizations in SourceAmerica's network. These grants support new equipment used by employees who manufacture products in America for the U.S. military including combat ensembles, dress uniforms, cold weather clothing systems, and fire-retardant personal protective gear.

As of 2025, there are approximately 500 nonprofit agencies in SourceAmerica’s nationwide network. Each of these nonprofit agencies offer meaningful career opportunities with competitive wages for employees with disabilities. They also provide customized career counseling, career advancement options, and on-the-job support. The stability offered by these jobs enables people with disabilities to realize their goals of independence and self-sufficiency in their personal lives.
