Today, this young man embarks on his 13 week journey of becoming a United States Marine. I couldn’t be more thrilled for him and I’m excited to see him accomplish his goals.

As you’re hearing everybody talk about “new year, new me” it’s your time to decide if this is the year you’ll change your life. If it’s the year you’ll challenge yourself mentally and physically and become the person you’re meant to be. If it’s the year you become one of the Few and the Proud. If it’s the year you become a United States Marine. I challenge you to reach out and request more information on what it takes to start taking those next steps.

One of my favorite things so far as a recruiter is taking new Marines back to the schools they graduated from. It’s cool to meet the people who made an impact on them through high school and for those people to see how much they’ve changed as they have transitioned into being a Marine.

It’s the time of year where you’ll start seeing Toys For Tots boxes set up out and about. Did you know Toys for Tots was created at the behest of the U. S. Marine Corps in 1991? According to the toys for tots website “The primary goal of Marine Toys for Tots is, through the gift of a new toy, help bring the joy of Christmas and send a message of hope to America’s less fortunate children.” These boxes are typically picked up to be sorted for distribution around mid December so if you’re able to, I hope you consider buying a new toy and dropping it in one of the boxes in your area during this season of giving.

Happy 248th Birthday, Marines! On this day, we honor a legacy of courage, commitment, and sacrifice. Today, I’m thinking of The Few and The Proud that I’ve had the privilege of serving with who have become life long family. May the Marine Corps birthday inspire us all to face challenges head-on, to embody honor and resilience, and to carry the torch of freedom with unwavering strength. Semper Fi! Here’s to the Marines, past, present, and future. RAH 🤙🏻

It’s ball season and I was lucky enough to celebrate a few weeks ago. Some might argue it’s the best holiday of the year but it might be a little bias. It’s always a great time to come together to celebrate the tradition and honor that is engrained deep into the Marine Corps and makes a Marine the person they are. It’s some of the best nights you’ll ever have with some of the greatest people you’ll ever meet.
