Summer Reading program kick start packets are still available for purchase! These packets are designed to help you help your child get started with their summer reading goals. Each packet includes FIVE books for your child to read, an activity book, crayons, an award certificate, and 11 small prizes you can award your child for their efforts! Packets are $12 and can be purchased at the circulation desk.

Tonight is the night!.
Remember it is from 4-7pm.
So if you want to go to the Golden Ticket kick off from 4-5pm you can still make it to Vienna Public Library to sign up.

Vienna Public Library is a proud participant in the Gold Ticket program. Which means you can earn tickets for minutes read through the VPL program AND earn tickets for the books read for the Golden Ticket Program. It is a WIN for every one

Come see us at the Vienna Public Library Summer Reading Kickoff. 4-7pm
We will be discussing what it means to be a member and selling incentive bags for $12 that includes a you pick option of books.
This is completely separate from the library program as it is free to everyone.
Cash only and we are limited to 20 packs.
These were curated with prek-6 in mind.

Friends, we need a few more volunteers for this event please! FOL members will likely work the ice cream table, but may be asked to do other tasks as well. Can I get three people to agree to work this event?! ✋ Comment below please!

Friends, please plan on stopping by the library on Thursday, May 21st between 2-6 pm to pick up a mini cake for the Memorial Day weekend. Cakes will be $5 each and all proceeds to directly to funding library programs!

For those who have been following our situation, I am pleased to update you and announce that the Friends of the Library has had our tax exempt, 501(c)(3) status renewed. Moving forward we will be able to work with local businesses and take advantage of more fundraising opportunities. 📚

Please stop by Vienna Public Library and check out our book sale! Shelves were refreshed today and an addition table had to be added! There are hundreds of new junior fiction titles to shop! Junior fiction includes chapter books typically read by children ages 8-12. These books are only $1 each!

These book sales allow the Friends of the Library to support library programs including the upcoming Summer Reading Program which kicks off June 4th! We appreciate your continued support and hope to see you soon!

Hi friends! We could use a few helping hands on Wednesday, May 6th, at 12:30 to help set up a junior fiction flash sale and to restock the shelves.
We also need a couple volunteers to bake mini cakes for an upcoming fundraiser. ❤️
