Sand and bags

There are bags and sand available, out of an abundance of caution on Watts Street This is across from Animal Control for city of Vidor residents that may need it. You will need to bring your own shovel.

This area will be monitored to ensure it is restocked. If you run into any issues, please reach out.

UPDATE:
The City manager spoke with the railroad company. They are aware of our situation and will NOT block the OST or Dogwood crossings. If you see anything different, please let us know.

Update: Friday 2:55
The city manager went out to the construction site. They are not able to open the bridge to 1 lane.
The crane went down so it cannot be moved. The city manager is contacting the construction company, the Chief of Police, and Fire Department.
I will post another update as soon as i get more information

Update: Friday 1:49 pm
The City manager is working with the construction crew to keep a lane open through this weekend.
In the meantime time, he is going to work on a permanent solution for next week. I will continue to post updates.

Blocking the railroad tracks cannot continue. The city manager and I are both working as quickly as possible on a resolution and I’ll be posting additional information here and on my page.

Attached is a listing of summer feeding sites, dates, and times. Rotary Bus information is also included for your convenience.

Sensitivity Swims
Every Friday in June and July!
This is for anyone with a disability, sensitivity to big crowd, maybe fear of the water.
It'll be smaller crowds, less noise.
We host Sensitivity Swims every Friday from 9am-12 at the same time that Kids Therapy is using the pool. $2 per person.
