Upcoming NEWS for Lakeview Cutoff!!

The Pine Forest City Council awarded SETX Paving to start re-paving sections on Lakeview Cutoff at our last City Council Meeting. SETX Paving will begin construction hopefully this coming week. Council hand selected 5 of the worst sections of Lakeview Cutoff.
I know Speed is a BIG Issue on the Cutoff. So, Please travel with caution for the safety of our Construction Team & yours. Thank you for your Patience.

*** Please Note: We also have an on-going work order with the County for any other pot-holes that will not be accomplished with this project.

Neches Management Trash Services will be delayed this week due to weather conditions. Please have Trash cans out by the road by Thursday night. Trash Service will resume on Friday, January 24th. Please remember ALL TRASH must go inside of the can, not around or near or it WILL NOT be picked up.

I'm getting an enormous amount of Phone calls today with everyone panicking about Trash Service. The office is closing at NOON today for the Thanksgiving Holidays. If you'd like to sign up for trash services, please call the number on the form! Letters were mailed out in October regarding The City changing Trash Services plus Neches has been out and about for the last 2 weeks knocking on doors.

There are 3 ways to sign up for NEW Services.

1 Call number at bottom of form 409-284-9868 or 409-554-0966, please have your information ready.

2. Call the Office 409-786-4100 and I can fill it out for you, please have your information ready. If paying by check you will need to come in before noon to leave payment or you can add CC info on form to set up quarterly auto-draft.

3. Print this form, fill it out, e-mail it back to [email protected]

As of Dec. 1st Neches Management will be the City of Pine Forest's ONLY Trash Service provider. If you have not done so, please contact Kathy Smartt with Neches Management to set up your service @ 409-284-9868, or you may come to City Hall and fill out a form. Office is open until 12:00pm today and closed Thursday & Friday for Thanksgiving Holidays.

Live Oak Environmental is picking up their cans TODAY, so after today if you have not signed up for new Trash Service you will not have a can. Neches WILL NOT be out here today or tomorrow due to holidays, but WILL BE out to deliver cans on FRIDAY if you have signed up as of today. YOU MUST sign up and pay your 1st quarter to receive your can.

*** Please note, If you paid up through December 31st with Live Oak (old company) you will be issued a refund for that 1 month, but Live Oak says it can take up to 30-60 days to process that refund.

Project Update:
Work has been temporarily Suspended on Lakeview Cutoff due to Gas Line relocation by Centerpoint Energy and Waterline interference with OCWCD1 along the project scope. These issues are being handled and work will commence once these issues have been resolved. If you have any questions or concerns during this time please contact City Hall at 409-786-4100.
We ask that you Please be Patient during this time, The City realizes this is a huge inconvenience, unfortunately it is out of our control. We will keep everyone updated as we have more information.

Orange County was included in the State’s disaster declaration due to the ongoing storms and flooding. And of course, we want to make sure Pine Forest is Covered. Since you’ve dealt with Harvey, Imelda, and other major storms, you know that taking tons and tons of pictures to document damages and standing water – even if it’s an inch covering a roadway. That may come in handy if FEMA or other Government funds become available in the future. One of the biggest problems we see with damaged streets is that the damage isn’t always obvious immediately, and without those pictures to show water inundation, base failure is hard to justify.

The City would appreciate any pictures/videos that you may have taken during this time. You can submit by Private Message along with address, if applicable.
