Our office will be closed Monday, September 7, 2026 in observance of Labor Day. We will resume normal office hours on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

Due to ongoing widespread power outages affecting both our district facilities and local homes this evening, our schools will remain CLOSED on Thursday, September 3.

Local utility crews are actively working to bring electricity back to our region.

We look forward to welcoming students back to class on Tuesday, September 8.

All Lamar campuses will be closed on Wednesday because of so many students/employees without power. Vidor ISD, LCMCISD, WOCCISD and Orangefield ISD will also be closed. BCISD will have classes.

Power has been restored at all BCISD campuses and facilities.

BCISD will resume classes as scheduled tomorrow, Wednesday, September 2.

Thank you to our families for your patience and understanding as we assessed our facilities and conditions throughout the community today.

Due to weather impacts and local power disruptions in our area, Vidor ISD will remain closed tomorrow, September 2nd.

VISD will continue to monitor and evaluate the situation and update families through ParentSquare with any changes as they arise.
