The Vidalia Police Department consists of 35 men and women, dedicated to providing public safety services to the citizens and visitors of the Sweet Onion City. We are a full-service, progressive law enforcement agency, and serve over 10,000 residents in the City of Vidalia. It is our desire to improve the quality of life for the residents we serve, and make Vidalia a great place to live,

work, and raise a family. OUR MISSION

The mission of the Vidalia Police Department is to work in partnership with the community to enhance the quality of life in the City of Vidalia by reducing crime; protecting lives, property, and constitutional rights; and enforcing laws fairly and impartially. OUR VISION

It is our vision to work together as a team to be a source of pride for the community and a premier public safety agency in the region by embracing the use of innovative technology, having progressive mindsets, seeking advanced knowledge and training, and building positive relationships in the community. The Vidalia Police Department has recovered a generator in the vicinity of Vidalia High School and is seeking to return it to its rightful owner. Individuals who have recently experienced the loss or theft of a generator are requested to contact the Evidence Custodian and provide a detailed description of the property.
