Today, we remember and honor those who lost their lives at the World Trade Center in New York City, at the Pentagon, and on Flight 93.

We also recognize the courage and bravery of the first responders
and the many people who came together to help others.

Their lives, bravery, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Being a Challenger Champion means growing strong in every way!

At Challenger School of Sport and Fitness, academics, movement, teamwork and creativity come together to help students become confident learners and problem solvers. Whether they’re working with classmates, choosing a new library book or staying active, students are building skills for the future.

Parents are part of the team, too. We love seeing families volunteer with PTO and help make Challenger such a strong school community.

One more thing about Sixth Street Prep.

This plaque at Sixth Street Prep dates back to 1939, when the campus was known as Victorville Primary School.

The plaque marks a construction project supported by President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Public Works Administration, part of the New Deal during the Great Depression. The program helped communities across the country build schools and other public facilities while creating jobs and investing in local communities.

More than 85 years later, this plaque is still here—and the campus is still serving students.

Pretty incredible to think about how many generations of Victorville families have passed through these halls. A small reminder that VESD’s history runs deep.

There’s something special buzzing at Sixth Street Prep!

Across campus, students are reading, creating, working together and sharing plenty of smiles. Caring teachers and support staff help make SSP a welcoming place where children feel supported, families stay involved and everyone plays a part in helping students succeed.

“We Can Fly” is more than a motto—it’s the spirit of the Sixth Street Prep community.
