On Thursday, September 24 at 6:00 PM, the Local Planning Committee will meet at the Victor
Early Childhood School, located at 953 High Street, Victor, NY 14564.
During this meeting, the Local Planning Committee will begin reviewing and evaluating the project
applications submitted for funding consideration.
This meeting is open to all members of the public, with time reserved at the end of the meeting for
public comment.

The Village is applying for a grant that will help fund its application for nomination to the State and National Registers of Historic Places. This follows a study completed by the Landmark Society of Western NY that determined we have two potential historic districts in the Village. Being accepted on the State and National Registers would, among other things, make property owners within the districts eligible for tax credits for allowed projects. Having your property in an historic district DOES NOT mean that you are restricted as to what you do with it. Only if you apply for tax credits are there requirements that would have to be met.

One requirement of the grant we are applying for is to have some sort of public art project that relates to the historic nomination. We would like to do a mural, or murals at locations to be determined that highlight some of Victor’s landmarks, citizens, or historic moments. A New York State accredited artist will be commissioned for the project.

We would like to hear your ideas for possible mural subjects. Photos or drawings are not necessary – just a brief written description. Submissions are due by September 20th. to [email protected]

The Village of Victor has partnered with CURE in raising awareness during the month of September to let local families know they are not alone in their battles.
C.U.R.E. Childhood Cancer Association has the mission of raising awareness of childhood cancer and September is childhood cancer awareness month. The awareness ribbon signifying childhood cancer is gold - children are precious like gold. Our community continues to experience childhood cancer, both through new diagnoses and losses. In 2025, 61 local Children were diagnosed with cancer, 5 Children relapsed, and our community lost 5 sweet souls.
We are encouraging Village residents to show their support by changing exterior lights to gold/yellow during the month of September or the week of September 20th, tie gold ribbons to your front doors, or donate at www.curekidscancer.com/donate.
