Update on the postcards.... got one yesterday that was from San Francisco,California . All of these cards have a handwritten note that says they are a volunteer with the NAACP. The local chapter Vicksburg/Warren NAACP and the state conference of NAACP have not sent these cards . Remember you can check your voter status at Y’all Vote Mississippi or call my office 601-636-3961

Today’s postcard came from Connecticut to a local voter.

My office has received numerous calls about a postcard they are receiving . After investigating , we only know that the NAACP State Conference and the local Vicksburg/Warren NAACP did NOT authorize this mailing nor did the Clerk’s Office. Many of these cards are addressed to deceased people and some were never even registered in our County. I am concerned about the intent of this postcard and will continue to investigate . The Secretary of State website Y’all Vote Ms is a great way to check your registration and make changes and of course you can go to our county website co.warren.ms.us and go to the Circuit Clerk tab.

Tomorrow morning we begin a restricted access into our CourtHouse. You will find phone numbers of our offices listed when you drive in to our front parking area . Please do not exit your vehicle before contacting the office you need . Our County website has many forms that might even save you a trip to the CourtHouse that website is co.warren.ms.us
My office will try to accommodate you but vault research will not be allowed until further notice, we apologize for this inconvenience.Please call 601-636-3961 before you arrive if you have any questions . All applications for marriage licenses will be by appointment only,there is an online application under our circuit tab on the county website to print out.
