BOIL WATER NOTICE ISSUED TODAY, JUNE 4, 2026

Hilldale Water has issued a Boil Water Notice today, 6/4/2026.
This Boil Water Notice has been issued due to loss in water pressure due to a 4" main leak near Gertrude Lane. Repairs have been made and the water has been restored.

As a precaution, all those in the affected area, as listed below, are urged to boil all water for consumption for at least 2 minutes before consuming. Showering and washing dishes are ok to continue. Check for clarity of water before washing clothes, especially whites.

Samples will be taken and sent to the state for analysis. Once all sample results show no contaminants are present, the boil water notice will be cancelled and another notice issued. This process may take several days.

Boil Water Notification

HILLDALE HAS ISSUED THIS PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER ALERT TODAY, 4/21/2026, AS WATER PRESSURE WAS LOST DUE TO ACTIVITIES RELATE TO THE INSTALLATION OF A NEW WATER MAIN ALONG INDIANA AVE. BETWEEN LEE RD. AND OLD HWY 27. UNFORTUNATELY, THESE ACTIVITIES ALSO RESULTED IN AN UNINTENTIONAL BROKEN WATER LINE THAT AFFECTED MORE HOUSEHOLDS THAN INTENDED. WATER PRESSURE WILL BE LOW FROM TIME TO TIME FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS UNTIL WORK IS COMPLETED.

AS A PRECAUTION, ALL THOSE IN THE AFFECTED AREAS, AS LISTED BELOW, ARE URGED TO BOIL ALL COOKING AND DRINKING WATER VIGOROUSLY FOR 2 MINUTES BEFORE CONSUMING. SHOWERING AND WASHING DISHES ARE OK TO CONTINUE. CHECK FOR WATER CLARITY BEFORE WASHING CLOTHES, ESPECIALLY WHITES.

AFTER REPAIRS ARE MADE AND WORK IS COMPLETE, SAMPLES WILL BE TAKEN TO THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT FOR ANALYSIS. ONCE ALL SAMPLE RESULTS SHOW NO CONTAMINANTS ARE PRESENT, THE BOIL WATER ALERT WILL BE CANCELLED AND A NOTICE WILL BE ISSUED. THIS PROCESS MAY TAKE SEVERAL DAYS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE.

HILLDALE WATER DISTRICT WILL BE MOVING OUR WATER LINE FROM UNDER THE ROAD ON INDIANA AVENUE STARTING TODAY APRIL 13, 2026. DURING THIS PROCESS YARDS WILL BE DUG UP, BUT WILL BE REPAIRED WHEN THE LINES ARE COMPLETE.D

THE FOLLOWING PEOPLE ARE INVOLVED IN THE MOVING OF LINE:

During this work and moving of the water lines you will also be under a Boil Water Notice as of today April 13, 2026. This is a precaution due to loss of pressure as we install the new lines.

Please boil all water consumed for at least 2 to 3 minutes before consumption. Showers, washing clothes, dishwasher use will be fine. If you have any questions do not hesitate to call the office at 601-636-8475.

This Boil Water Notice was necessary due to a Main Water Break which caused the system to lose pressure.

As soon as pressure is restored to those customers affected, water system officials will begin collecting samples for testing and recommend that consumers vigorously boil their water for 2 to three minutes before it is consumed or use and alternate source for drinking and cooking.

We will contact all customers once the Boil Water Notice has been lifted in your area.

The Boil Water Notice was necessary due to a Main Water Break which caused the system to lose pressure.

Water system officials will begin collecting samples for testing and recommend that consumers vigorously boil their water for 2 to 4 minutes before it is consumed or use an alternate source for drinking and cooking.

We will contact all customers affected once the Boil Water Notice has been lifted in your area. It may take 3 to 5 days to get reports from the State that all tests are completed and clear.
